Africa

Africa is the largest in area after Asia continent in the world, provided one North and South America as two separate continents see, Africa is the third different in size. It covers about 30,244,050 square kilometers (mainland and islands combined), some 20.3 percent of the total land surface of the earth. There are more than 800 million people - about one seventh of the world. Almost the whole of Africa belongs to the Third World. Some people expect the whole continent are increasing, others only the countries south of the Sahara, except South Africa.

The name Africa was the first antiquity to the reserved area of modern Tunisia. Later the entire coastline in Africa and called the time of exploration was thus designated the whole continent. The African name would be derived from the Phoenician word afrid. But others argue that the name Africa is traceable to the Amazigh Republic goddess IFRI (which means cave). This goddess was later taken over by the Romans.
